Jack McGown, the 2023 Metropolitan PGA Teacher of the year, has been the director of golf at Hampton Hills Country Club for the past 39 seasons. A physical fitness buff and a New York native, he has been giving lessons for over 40 years.  Jack holds numerous course records including two tournament wins on the same day.

Known for his infectious enthusiasm and engaging personality, he views each lesson as an opportunity to tap into each student’s inner reservoir and access their best ability. According to Jack, helping someone hit the ball better is not that difficult – having them understand how to help themselves when they walk away is the real challenge – something Jack enjoys every time.
